You could say that whenever Houston Nutt leaves a job, he brings down several people with him. Leaving Arkansas, athletic director Frank Broyles and chancellor John White weren't long behind him out the door. With his leaving of Ole Miss, athletic director Pete Boone will make a slow exit after him, denied even a say in who gets to be the next football coach.
Tim Brando isn't leaving the airwaves anytime soon, but the CBS analyst did beat a hasty retreat on his Twitter account last night after responding to some messages critical of Nutt in an unprofessional manner:

Oh, really? Some big old scary Hogs fan say something mean Brando's pal Houston and the guy swears off an entire state for perpetuity? Brando took it a little too personal and showed some thin skin.
Cooler heads prevailed eventually. Brando gives credit to his wife though we wonder if he got an email from any CBS execs reading "O RLY?" It was a "bit much", according to Brando.

We love it when guys like Tim Brando sit back in their studies at night, posting inane chatter on their BlackBerries and acting surprised when it turns out someone is actually reading them (and taking screenshots.) If Brando keeps it up, well, we're sure Nutt could find him a job in public relations at West-Central Panhandle A&M.
