NFL scouts attended UCA’s pro day primarily to work out quarterback Nathan Dick.

Naturally, teams are interested in seeing what Dick, a former Arkansas quarterback, can do. Dick is 6-4, 222 pounds. He threw for 3,275 yards and 32 touchdowns last season as an Football Championship Series All-American.

But you have to figure scouts took note of wide receiver/kick return specialist Isaiah Jackson while in Conway on Wednesday.

Jackson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds during the UCA pro day.

Compared to the times run at the NFL Combine, Jackson would have been at the top of the list. Keep in mind running conditions differ depending on the location, but regardless of surface or manner of timing, that 4.31 is impressive.

Jackson, a 5-11, 187-pound Conway native, returned 39 kicks for 849 yards in 2011. He averaged 21.8 yards per return and also caught 32 passes for 460 yards with a touchdown.
