Stanek, Carver Honored As Razorbacks Remain No. 3 In Baseball Rankings

Arkansas remained No. 3 in the USA Today and Baseball America Top 25 polls, following a series victory at Mississippi State over the weekend.

Tim Carver and Ryne Stanek were a big reason why the Razorbacks won and took control of first in the SEC West. Arkansas (22-3, 5-1) went 3-1 for the week, including a midweek victory against Nevada.

Carver batted .421, drove in four runs and scored two in four games. He was named SEC Co-Player of the week. SEBaseball.com (a Rivals affiliate) named Stane the SEC Pitcher of the Week after he struck out six and gave up just three hits and no runs in 6 1/3 innings of a Saturday victory at Mississippi State.

Stanek is now 6-0 this season with a 1.25 earned run average. Carver is hitting .348 and has a team-high 12 stolen bases.

Arkansas is back on the road this weekend against No. 15 LSU. There are no games for the Razorbacks mid-week.
