Joe Adams Named Finalist For Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers National Return Specialist Award

Joe Adams has wrapped up his college career at Arkansas, but the return specialist is still being recognized for his senior season.

Adams, a consensus All-American, was named a finalist for the Johnny “The Jet” Rodgers National College Football Return Specialist Award. He is one of four finalists for the award, which will be presented for the first time Thursday.

No player in college football returned more punts for touchdowns last season than Adams, who finished with four return scores. He averaged 16.89 yards per return, second best in the NCAA.

Adams averaged 15.83 yards per return in four seasons at Arkansas. He ended his career with five punt return touchdowns.

Other finalists include North Carolina’s T.J. Thorpe, Texas A&M’s Dustin Harris and LSU’s Tyrann Mathieu.
