Arkansas will shake up its weekend pitching rotation, following a road sweep by LSU.

Coach Dave Van Horn said Ryne Stanek will likely take the Friday night starter’s role. DJ Baxendale had been in that spot, but after two consecutive weeks of struggles, his role will change.

Stanek (6-0 1.26 ERA) started Saturday's game against LSU and ended up with a no-decision againt the Tigers.

Baxendale (5-1, 5.23 ERA) has allowed 13 runs in his previous two starts.  Last season he was 10-2 with a 1.51 ERA.

Arm slot issues have been the primary reason for Baxendale’s struggles, Van Horn said. It is possible Baxendale will still be part of the pitching rotation against the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend.

“We’ll probably go with Stanek on Friday. It’s not set in stone, but we’ll probably mix it up a little bit,” Van Horn told reporters following a Swatter's Club meeting in Fayeteville. "DJ will probably be in the rotation, but flip his days a little bit and let him watch.”

Arkansas (22-6, 5-4 SEC) dropped all three games at LSU, falling from No. 3 to No. 13 in the Baseball America Top 25. LSU climbed to No. 12.

Georgia enters the week 18-11, 4-5. Friday's first pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
