Henderson State’s Adam Ussery and Arkansas Tech’s Zak Anstine have been named the Great American Conference Baseball Players of the Week for their efforts in the 10th week of the season.

Ussery, a senior third baseman had a weekly .800 batting average during a 2-1 conference series victory last weekend at home. The Jacksonville native went 8 for 10 throughout the series with 5 RBI, 1 run and 1 double. He becomes the third GAC player of the week honoree from Henderson State this season, following teammates Dusty Hudson (March 20) and Taylor Coleman (Feb. 21).

Anstine collected a complete-game, two-hit victory over Arkansas-Monticello on April 7. The Holden, Mo., native allowed just one run during the 7-1 victory, while striking out nine of the 25 batters he faced and only allowing one walk. He becomes the first ATU pitcher to earn weekly honors from the GAC this season, and the second overall ATU honoree following teammate Nate Wilder’s player of the week selection on Feb. 28.
