UALR junior Jason Belt earned his first career Sun Belt Field Athlete of the Week honor after sweeping the discus, shot put, and hammer at the UCA Open Saturday.

Belt won the shot put with a season-high throw of 14.59m ranking him second in UALR career records.

From Council Bluffs, Iowa, Belt won the discus with a throw of 49.22m and the hammer with a throw of 53.00m.

The UALR men’s and women’s track and field team continue action on Saturday, April 28 at the ASU Red Wolf Open in Jonesboro.
