Former Arkansas wide receiver Greg Childs was picked 134^th overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL Draft on Saturday.

Childs was the fourth Arkansas player taken and third Razorback wide receiver. He joins former Razorback Jarius Wright in Minnesota. Wright and Adams also played together at Warren High School.

A strong pro day showing helped improved Childs’ standing entering the draft. He struggled as a senior, catching only 21 passes for 240 yards with 0 touchdowns.

Draft analyst Mel Kiper said Childs could have been a second round pick if he hadn’t been slow in recuperating from the injury to the patella tendon in his knee.

“He fought through a sometimes frustrating senior season while recovering from an injury, but he was determined to help his team during his last year,” Arkansas receivers coach Kris Cinkovich said. “He has shown throughout the pre-draft process, beginning with the Cotton Bowl, that he is as dangerous on the field as he was before the injury. Greg is a player with tremendous ability that can be a factor in all aspects of the passing game, and the Vikings made a wise pick selecting him.”
