Oregon and Arkansas State will keep their season opener on Sept. 1, according to the Eugene Register Guard.
Officials at the schools were looking at the possibility of the game to accommodate broadcast on the Pac-12 Network. Ducks' beat reporter Rob Moseley reported earlier this week a move was possible and Arkansas State confirmed.
But the game between what could be two of the nation's top offenses remains on the original date. No kickoff time has been set.

Officials at Arkansas State and Oregon are looking at the possibility of moving their season opener to Thursday, Aug. 30.
It’s a move being explored to accommodate the Pac-12 Network as it searches for broadcast options. Rob Moseley of the Eugene Register Guard reported the possibility Tuesday. Originally the game was set for Sept. 1.
Arkansas State confirmed through an athletic department spokesman that the move was being explored.
“There are ongoing discussions about possibly changing the date for the Oregon game for television purposes,” Jerry Scott confirmed via email.
Hey, the earlier the better on the kickoff time, right? Both of these teams have fast-paced offenses that can put up points. They might need to get started about 8 a.m. to get it wrapped up by the end of the day.
Oregon finished 12-2 overall and ranked No. 4 in the country, following a 45-38 victory against Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. ASU ended 2011 with a GoDaddy.com Bowl appearance and 10-3 record. Gus Malzahn is in his first season with the Red Wolves.
