Four Arkansas baseball teams took to the field of Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock Tuesday for the premiere of the State Farm Classic. In the end, Arkansas State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 7-3 in the first match-up and UALR covered UCA in 10 innings 4-3 in the late game.

Red Wolves third baseman Zach George went 3-for-4 with an RBI and designated hitter Daniel Short was 2-for-3 with two runs driven in, improving ASU's record to 27-19. UAPB took another loss in its disappointing 8-38-1 2012 season.  

Sophomore Cody Woodhouse picked up the win on the mound for ASU, giving up one run on three hits in four innings of work. Junior Jordan Sechler (0-4) took the loss for UAPB, giving up seven runs on seven hits in seven and one-third innings on the mound. Sechler threw 125 pitches on the day, striking out three and walking two.

UALR senior Cameron Bentley drove in four runs and delivered a two-out, walk off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to lead UALR (24-24) to a 9-8 win over Central Arkansas (20-24) in front of 1,354 fans. The Trojans rallied from a 7-3 deficit by scoring five runs in the bottom of the sixth, highlighted by a three-run homer from Bentley.
