Arkansas will host Syracuse as part of the 2012 SEC/Big East Challenge on Nov. 30.

"Hosting Syracuse at Bud Walton Arena gives us a chance to showcase our basketball team and fans to the nation,” Coach Mike Anderson said.  “Syracuse has great tradition and will be a highly-ranked team next season. We look forward to the challenge that this team presents.”

The Orange were 34-3 last season, winning four games in the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas was 18-14 and missed the postseason for the fourth consecutive year.

Syracuse returns three of their top seven scorers from last season. Arkansas has its top four scorers back, including all-SEC guard BJ Young.

Previously, the Orange and Razorbacks met in 1995. Arkansas knocked off Syracuse 96-94 in overtime to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

Arkansas will play a number of quality non-conference opponents in 2012-13. Michigan will host the Razorbacks on Dec. 21. Oklahoma visits Bud Walton Arena and Arkansas plays in the Las Vegas Invitational Nov. 23-24.
