Little Rock Crowd Amuses Comedian Dave Chappelle With A Mid-Set 'Hog Call'

Dave Chappelle was greeted with a Hog Call from fans during a set in Little Rock on Wednesday.

Interrupting comedian Dave Chappelle during recent stand-up shows has not gone well for audiences.

Chappelle has understandably grown weary of hecklers, folks screaming out quotes from his popular “Chappelle’s Show” series and general rude behavior from audience members. During one show in Miami last year, Chappelle’s hour-long set turned from him telling jokes to him checking his phone and going back and forth with a heckler.

Knowing that, it’s hard to understand why anybody would think interrupting Wednesday’s set at Robinson Center Music Hall with a Hog Call was a good idea.

Hearing the trademark cheer of Razorback fans mid-set didn’t upset Chappelle, however. Turns out he was so amused by it that he encouraged the crowd to do a full-on Hog Call, while he recorded it on his phone.

In the clip that accompanies this post Chappelle can be heard saying it’s one of the “strangest noises” and he also says — as he apparently starts recording on his phone — that the cheer is “something that can only be heard in Arkansas.”

Here’s hoping that Chappelle’s video from the stage pop ups online somewhere. For now we have video of the reclusive star videoing the crowd.

(We can’t completely make out what Chappelle is saying at the end of the clip, but we're pretty sure it is NSFW, so proceed with caution.)

Also, a tip of the cap to @dannywest1 for drawing my attention that video earlier today. If you didn't get to the show, but want a tweet recap, then @sonofconway is your guy.
