UALR outfielder Sean Bignall is quickly becoming the most decorated baseball player in school history.

He earned his second All-America honor of the season Wednesday with a spot on the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America Third Team. He was also selected as Louisville Slugger Third Team All-America earlier this year.

Bignall (5-foot-8, 190 pounds) had a breakout senior year in 2012, establishing school records with 18 home runs and 149 total bases. He also became the first Trojan to score 60 runs and drive in 60 runs in a season.

Bignall, a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy and the Golden Spikes Award, ended the regular season ranked fourth in the nation in home runs, fifth in slugging percentage (.696), fifth in total bases and sixth in RBI (64). He led the Sun Belt in all four of those categories, as well as runs scored, and ranked fifth in the conference with a .346 average, which was enough to earn him First Team All-Sun Belt honors.

He tied the school record for home runs in a game by hitting three in a victory over South Dakota State on March 7, and set a UALR record with 14 total bases in the same game. He tied another school record by scoring five runs in UALR's 17-8 victory over South Alabama on April 13.
