Arkansas has an Elite quarterback commitment from Fayetteville’s Austin Allen.

Allen, who committed to the Razorbacks earlier this month, has been selected for the Elite 11 Quarterback Competition. Allen was one of 25 quarterbacks picked for the skills challenge that features some of the nation’s best quarterback prospects.

“Going to the Elite 11 finals!,” Allen posted to his Twitter account shortly after the announcement on Thursday. Allen was one of 19 at-large selections who will join the six Elite 11 camp MVPs at the event.

Alabama, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Tennessee are among the schools that offered Allen, a four-star prospect. He threw for 4,150 yards and 46 touchdowns last season in leading the Bulldogs to a 7A state title.

A strong performance at a regional Elite 11 event helped Allen secure a spot in the finals of the competition. He follows Greenbrier’s Neal Burcham as a participant in the Elite 11 finals. Burcham was co-MVP of the event last year and signed with SMU.

CBSSports.com has the full list of participants and where they have committed. It reads like a who’s who of college football powers. LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee also have commitments participating.

Commitments are non-binding until signing day in February.
