Nielsen Media Research’s February TV household ratings for Little Rock stations didn’t reveal drastic changes over the 2011 ratings book of the same period.
KATV-TV, Channel 7, remained the top station in the market, again beating the other stations’ household ratings with its 6 a.m. newscast as well as with its 5, 6 and 10 p.m. news shows.

While keeping its lead, KATV had rating decreases at the two evening time slots. The ABC affiliate’s 5 p.m. show saw a rating drop of 2.2 points, its only household rating decrease greater than 1 point.
Each rating point represents 1 percent of the 571,630 households in the market.
“We did see a drop,” KATV News Director Nick Genty said of the 5 p.m. show. “That did concern us. Some of that may be a fallout of Oprah leaving us. But if you look across the board, everybody had losses.”
KATV also won the top spot at 10 p.m., beating out last year’s winner, KTHV-TV, Channel 11, by 0.9 rating points.
KTHV, a CBS affiliate, won the 5 a.m. news slot, as it did in 2011.
