SBA Honors APEI as Small Business Team of the Year

Arkansas' district office of the Small Business Administration has named Arkansas Power Electronics International Inc. as its 2012 Small Business Person of the Year - Team.

According to an SBA news release, the specific team members being honored include President and CEO Alex Lostetter, Manufacturing Director Jared Hornberger, Business Operations Manager Sharmila Mounce and Chief Technology Officer Roberto Marcelo Schupbach.

APEI designs and manufactures high performance, high power and extreme environment power electronics systems. Its employees are largely recruited from the University of Arkansas, and it recently built a 20,000-SF manufacturing facility at its headquarters.

Some of the group's clients include the U.S. military, Sandia National Labs and Rohm Semiconductor, one of Asia's largest manufacturers of electronics conductors.

APEI was also a finalist for 2012's Arkansas Business of the Year Awards in category II (26-75 employees).
