Atlantic Tele-Network Filling up Former Acxiom Space

The once-empty floors in the former Acxiom Corp. building in west Little Rock are quickly filling up.

Allied Wireless Communications Corp., a subsidiary of Atlantic Tele-Network of Salem, Mass., started leasing the space in the four-floor building about six months ago. The company, which formed from Alltel divestitures assets, first leased the third and fourth floors and recently added the second floor, giving it a total of 75,000 SF in the 100,000-SF building.

The building sat empty for more than a year before ATN came to town, according to Hank Kelley, CEO and partner of Flake & Kelley Commercial, and who leased the space to ATN. Kelley declined to release the terms of the lease.

If you recall, almost a year ago ATN announced it was coming to Little Rock and would add between 200 and 250 jobs that would have an average annual salary of more than $87,000.

We couldn't reach ATN last week to find out how many people have been hired so far.
