Renee Gork wore a Florida Gators hat to Bobby Petrino's press conference on Saturday and was fired on Monday. The chain of events has led to the national media training an eye on the Razorbacks.

Gork tells radio talk-show host TJ Carpenter that she has received death threats, and has written a letter of apology to Petrino.

Arkansas redshirt freshman Travis Swanson began preseason camp practicing with the team’s newcomers. He’s worked his way into first-team reps. Swanson, who at 6-foot-5 now weighs 304 pounds, estimated he’s splitting starting snaps “50-50” with Seth Oxner. It’s a welcome surprise for Swanson, who took the bulk of the team’s second-team snaps at center while redshirting in 2009.

And at least four former Razorbacks inked deals with MLB teams, signing contracts just short of the deadline.
