KARK To Expand Local Morning Programming

1 min read

KARK-TV, Channel 4, has announced that it will expand its local morning news programming in Little Rock, starting in August.

"KARK 4 Today," which broadcasts from 5 to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday, will continue on KARZ 42, KARK’s sister station, from 7 to 9 a.m. "This will provide viewers with more than four consecutive hours of local news, weather and traffic each weekday morning," KARK said in a news release.

KARK is owned by Nexstar Broadcasting.

"While the network morning newscasts, and in particular the ‘Today Show,’ have been very successful in attracting viewers, local newscasts that air in the 7 to 9 a.m. time slot have also enjoyed great success," Rick Rogala, Nexstar senior VP and KARK general manager, said.
