Josh Blevins, 26, likes to stay on his toes. "I tire quickly," he said.

That drive to move and shake may be at the root of his fast-tracked career.

After graduating from Hendrix College with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science, Blevins was elected president of the Young Democrats of Arkansas. Soon after, Blevins took a job as field director of U.S. Rep. Marion Berry's 2006 congressional campaign.

After that campaign, Blevins landed a gig as Attorney General Dustin McDaniel's public affairs officer.

Blevins said he plans to focus long term on his real estate investment firm, Blevins Investment Group.

In June, Blevins opened The House, a casual gourmet restaurant in Hillcrest that resurrected the languishing location formerly occupied by Sufficient Grounds. "And that's been keeping me very busy."

Blevins, however, is also committed to community service. He led a fundraiser for Katrina victims, volunteers with the Arkansas Foodbank Network and Arkansas Children's Hospital's Committee for the Future and has fostered several dogs for Care for Animals. Blevins also helps twice a year with disaster cleanup.

"It's one thing to contribute money, which is obviously certainly needed by charities," Blevins said. "But it's a whole different experience to get out there and sweat a little bit. And that's a lot of fun too."
