Only three Arkansas-based publicly traded companies show gains since Oct. 10, 2007: Wal-Mart Stores, America's Car-Mart and Home Bancshares.
- America's Car-Mart Inc. of Bentonville (NasdaqGS: CRMT): Up 22 percent
- Home Bancshares of Conway (Nasdaq: HOMB): Up 13 percent
- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of Bentonville (NYSE: WMT): Up 9.4 percent
The rest of Arkansas' publicly traded companies have seen share prices dip since that date in 2007, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average was trading near an all-time high.

- Acxiom Corp. of Little Rock (NasdaqGS: ACXM): Down 48.4 percent
- Baldor Electric Co. of Fort Smith (NYSE: BEZ): Down 48 percent
- P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. of Tontitown (NasdaqGS: PTSI): Down 44.3 percent
- ThermoEnergy Corp. of Little Rock: Down 44 percent
- Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale (NYSE: TSN): Down 42.4 percent
