Broadband Availability Moves Toward White County

Aristotle Inc. of Little Rock has bought the wireless broadband division of Internet provider Futura Inc., including equipment and its customer base of fewer that 50.

During the third quarter of this year, Aristotle will be upgrading equipment in Cabot, Ward and Austin to improve availability of broadband coverage, among other things, and conducting general maintenance.

The investment will be in the low six figures. Aristotle intends to launch the updated services during the first quarter of 2009.

The move, from the company that has heretofore expanded into markets that are underserved or do not have DSL access, comes shortly after its expansion into Sardis, just west of Bauxite.

Aristotle also offers ultra-high-speed bandwidth in Little Rock now.
