Beebe Appoints 20 to State Boards, Commissions

Gov. Mike Beebe on Thursday announced the following appointments to Arkansas boards and commissions:

Tonya Alexander, Marion, reappointed to the Arkansas Public Defender Commission. Appointment expires July 1, 2013.

Sheila Castin, Little Rock, to the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners. Appointment expires Sept. 1, 2013. Replaces Ruby Jean Faulconer.

Glen Dabney, Monticello, to the Arkansas State Land Information Board. Appointment expires Aug. 1, 2012. Replaces Robert Newell.

Bill Elliott, Jr., Lake Village, reappointed to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. Appointment expires Aug. 15, 2012.

Randy Everett, Cabot, reappointed to the Arkansas State Land Information Board. Appointment expires Aug. 1, 2012.

Nancy Firmin, Fayetteville, to the Washington County Quorum Court, District 7. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2008. Replaces Ken Kieklak.

Louise Fryer, Eudora, to the Chicot County Quorum Court, District 9. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2008. Replaces Craig Stephenson.

John Ed Isbell, Mountain Home, to the Arkansas State Land Information Board. Appointment expires Aug. 1, 2012. Replaces Yancey Reynolds.

Dr. Glen Jones, Jonesboro, to the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2010. Replaces Dr. John White.

Nora Moses, Dermott, to the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Appointment expires July 1, 2012. Replaces Barbara Smith.

Dr. John Robinette, Sheridan, to the Arkansas Board of Podiatric Medicine. Appointment expires Sept. 1, 2011. Replaces Dr. Dan Fulmer.
