1 min read

Tyson Foods Inc. announced this morning that Dennis Leatherby has been named its new executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Leatherby has been with the Springdale-based poultry company for more than 18 years. He currently serves as Tyson’s senior vice president of finance and treasurer. He has previously served as Tyson’s interim chief financial officer.

In his new position, Leatherby will report directly to Tyson CEO and president Richard Bond and will oversee the company’s worldwide finance and accounting functions. The position also includes representing Tyson on financial matters involving investors, auditors and financial regulatory entities.

Leatherby replaces Wade Miquelson who announced in May that he had accepted the chief financial officer position at Walgreens.

Leatherby is a native of Overland Park, Kan. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in finance and accounting.
