Bank Marketing Tech Seminar Set

The Arkansas chapter of the American Banking Association's Marketing Network will host a one-day seminar, entitled "Banking on the Future," Dec. 7.

The focus of the session will be on banks' increased reliance on technology and its use as a marketing and customer service tool.

Speakers at the event include Scott Klososky of Shryk Inc. whose presentation is titled "Trends and Technology in Bank Marketing and Customer Acquisition;" Marla Johnson Norris, CEO of Little Rock based Aristotle Inc.; and Michael Lindsey, senior vice president manager electronic delivery services for BancorpSouth Bank.

Lindsey will speak on "mobile" banking (banking via cell phone) and Bancorp's lessons learned from its recent leap into that technology.

Bank marketing professionals, business development associates and bank technology staff are encouraged to attend.

The seminar will be held at the Embassy Suites in Rogers from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Cost is $95 for the first member of a bank and $80 for each additional member. Non-ABA members may attend for $169, which includes a 2008 membership.
