Rep. Vic Snyder, D-Ark., said Thursday that David Boling of Little Rock would become his chief of staff effective May 29.
Boling will replace retiring chief of staff Ed Fry.
Snyder's office also said Dan Madden of Honolulu has joined Snyder's Washington D.C. staff as military legislative assistant.
Boling most recently worked at the Mitchell Williams Selig Gates & Woodyard law firm in Little Rock and specialized in litigation matters. From 1995 to 2005, he was a trial attorney for the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division in Washington D.C. Boling has also written commentary for Arkansas Business and was a judge for the Arkansas Business of the Year Awards.
Madden replaces Mike Casey as military legislative assistant. Madden, formerly a captain in the Marine Corps, recently worked as a legislative fellow for Rep. Neil Abercrombie. He has also worked in conflict resolution for the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding in New York, and in 2003 served as a recovery team leader for the Marine Corps, leading military and civilian specialists into Laos and Vietnam.
