A second day of snow and freezing rain in Arkansas has kept state government on its inclement weather policy.
Gov. Mike Beebe has kept the state's inclement weather policy in effect for Friday, making all non-essential personnel at state offices in Pulaski County report to work at 10 a.m. In the rest of the state, agency directors or the highest-level field supervisor will determine whether to implement the policy there.
Among businesses, Alltel Corp. of Little Rock remains on its inclement weather policy, and Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs is closed through Sunday.
Most schools in the state remain closed on Friday, but schools in central Arkansas, including Little Rock and North Little Rock, are open. More school information is available here.
