Hot Springs has been selected to host the 2007 Arkansas Governor's Conference on Tourism on March 4-6 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The annual conference, sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism, attracts about 600 tourism professionals from across the state for sessions designed to improve the quality of tourism in Arkansas.

"We are delighted that Hot Springs has been chosen to host the 33rd Annual Governor's Conference, which is one of the most important events each year in the tourism industry," said Cindy DeWitt, director of sales and marketing for the Hot Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Hot Springs has hosted the conference four times previously, in 1978, 1983, 1991 and 1999.
