Jaguar Dealership Eyes Little Rock Move

We've heard that Jaguar of Little Rock is in the early stages of moving to a new 6-acre home at the Glenn Ridge Crossings project. That new development is south of the Rave Motion Pictures project at 18 Col. Glenn Plaza Drive.

The Col. Glenn Road/I-430 area has become a popular destination for auto dealerships.

It's unclear what's in store for the current 1-acre location at 7321 Cantrell Road, if the move goes through as planned.

More Legal Bumps

Just a month after losing its long-anticipated courtroom battle with Volvo Trucks, Pro Transportation Inc. of Little Rock has been run over with more bad news.

Two creditors sued the trucking company in February, seeking nearly $130,000.

Trans American Tire sued Pro Transportation for $5,900 on Feb. 7 and Comdata Network Inc. sued it for $122,000 on Feb. 24, according to records filed in the Pulaski County Circuit Court.

The outstanding debts for goods and services date back to April 2004. Comdata says Pro Transportation's owner, Bob Fewell of Little Rock, personally guaranteed the money it is owed.

Pro Transportation's attorney, Randy Coleman of Little Rock, didn't return a call for comment.

Pro Transportation, if you have forgotten, sued Volvo Trucks in 2003, accusing it of selling lemons. After a two-week trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of Volvo on Jan. 21.

Coleman appealed to the Pulaski County Circuit Court judge in the case, saying Pro Transportation didn't receive a fair trial and should have a new one. Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Chris Piazza denied the motion Feb. 24.

New Address

Four floors of office space in downtown Little Rock were valued at $7.6 million.

First Security Bancorp of Searcy bought 44,578 SF, composed of the 7th-10th floors in the First Security Center at 521 President Clinton Ave.

Most of the space is occupied by Crews & Associates. The Little Rock investment firm relocated from its digs atop One Union National Plaza at 124 W. Capitol Ave.

The new office space was sold by Clinton & Sherman Building LLC, led by Jimmy Moses and Rett Tucker.
