Southland Greyhound Park in West Memphis announced it would give more than $200,000 in additional charitable funds for a variety of programs. The donation is in addition to the annual revenue generated by the 33 "Charity Days" of racing at Southland during 2001.

Beneficiaries include the state of Arkansas for hospital care for indigent patients in east Arkansas, Mid-South Community College at West Memphis, the Arkansas Department of Human Services and municipal aid in Crittenden County; the city of West Memphis for disaster relief organizations, indigent care organizations and educational purposes; and general program aid to 10 Crittenden County municipalities.

Southland has donated more than $14 million to public agencies and private nonprofit organizations since 1990.
