Instead of Arkansas-Pine Bluff's second-place finish in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's West Division, the event that stands out for the Golden Lions' 2011 season was a post-game fight against a Southern squad that resulted in 25 players receiving suspensions.

Head Coach Monte Coleman has spent this off-season looking forward. He previews what 2012 has in store for UAPB in the latest edition of ArkansasSports360.com's 2012 Football Preview.

“We had a good season, the first winning season for the Golden Lions football since 2006,” he said of his 2011 team. “We showed the makings of a great program, we had to overcome injures and other adversity but everyone kept the faith. Overall, I believe that we have something to build on from last season.”
