Home BancShares Increases Quarterly Dividend

Home BancShares Inc. of Conway, the parent company of Centennial Bank, said Wednesday that its board of directors declared a regular 12 cents per share quarterly cash dividend.

The divident, payable Sept. 5 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 15, is a 50 percent increase over the 8 cents per share cash dividend it paid during the third quarter of 2011 and a 20 percent increase over what it paid during the first and second quarters of 2012.

Last week, Home BancShares (Nasdaq: HOMB) reported second-quarter earnings of $15.5 million, up 20 percent over the same quarter in 2011 and the most profitable quarter in the company's history.

Centennial Bank has locations in Arkansas, Florida and Alabama.
