Arkansas finds itself in a familiar position with the release of the first USA Today Coaches poll of 2012.

Voters placed the Razorbacks in the Top 10, a spot they’ve finished the last two seasons. Also similar to previous years is that the team is ranked behind both LSU and Alabama, foes from the SEC West.

Arkansas ended last season No. 5. Both the Tigers and Crimson Tide were ahead in the polls to end last season.

Entering this season, coaches ranked LSU No. 1 and Alabama is No. 2. Arkansas faces both programs at home this season.

Other SEC teams ranked include: No. 6 Georgia, No. 9 South Carolina, No. 23 Florida and No. 25 Auburn.
