Video: Mark Pryor on Arkansas’ Shifting Politics, A Partisan State Legislature

1 min read

U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., talks to Arkansas Business’ Lance Turner about Arkansas’ shifting political scene, where Republicans have seen gains in Congress and the state Legislature.

Pryor, a former Arkansas Attorney General who was elected to the Senate in 2002, talks about working with other Republicans in the Arkansas congressional delegation.

(Video: See video of Pryor’s comments at the end of this article.)

He also says he’s concerned that the state Legislature is in danger of becoming more partisan.

Pryor’s comments came as part of a wide-ranging interview with Arkansas Business recorded last week in Little Rock.

Arkansas Business will publish more clips from the interview with Pryor, and from a separate conversation with U.S. Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., in the coming days.
