Arkansas is preparing to face No. 1 Alabama without quarterback Tyler Wilson.

Wilson left Saturday's 34-31 overtime loss to Louisiana-Monroe after suffering a hit to the head. He's still exhibiting "symptoms," according to Coach John L. Smith.

Brandon Allen, who filled in for Wilson in the second half against the Warhawks, is being prepared to play against the Crimson Tide. Wide receiver Brandon Mitchell, who served as the No. 2 last season, has been attending quarterback meetings and will also get snaps at the position this week.

Wilson, who was back with the team for meetings on Sunday, will not play against the Crimson Tide if he doesn't practice this week.

"We're going to ride with Brandon Allen or whoever is at quarterback," tight end Chris Gragg said.

Other injury updates:

•Cornerback Tevin Mitchel is back in Fayetteville and will continue to undergo testing after a hit that left him motionless on the War Memorial Stadium turf. He will "meet with specialists here and discuss their findings,” Smith said.

•Fullback Kiero Small underwent surgery last week for an injured foot. He's out between 8-12 weeks and will be a candidate to redshirt.

•Fullback Kody Walker broke his left leg. He is out for the season.
