Arkansas is in desperate need of change coming off consecutive losses that rank among the worst in school history.

Little has gone right for the Razorbacks since the season opened. They've dealt with injuries, inconsistent offense and awful defense. Playcalling has been poor on both sides of the ball. Execution has been lacking.

So who could blame the staff and players for shaking things up a bit?

No, that's not why the team wore white helmets to practice on Tuesday as capture in a photo and circulated in a tweet from Coach John L. Smith.

Arkansas was "breaking in" the new helmets, according to offensive coordinator Paul Petrino. Players are hopeful they can wear them for Saturday's 6 p.m. game against Rutgers.

"I like the white helmets," tight end Chris Gragg said. "They bring a lot of swag to us. I think the fans will like them too."
