Arkansas travels to Auburn Saturday for an A.M. meeting with the Auburn Tigers. The narrative this week about this matchup has been basically about how much these teams stink this season. Arkansas has a pretty good excuse, being the SEC team wandering around the conference like a zombie, headless like Icabod Crane, bellowing "Booobbbbbby, Booobbbbbbby..." as it searches for resurrection.
Auburn, on the other hand, was the national champion two short years ago. True, Gene Chizik no longer has Cam Newton or Gus Malzahn on the payroll, but the team's 1-3 overall record is a bit puzzling for the Plainsmen.
This contest has been referred to a pillow fight. Two old men at a Scrabble board arguing about whether INDEXES or INDICIES is the correct plural usage. A pair of fat women slapping each other over a bowl of vanilla ice cream. A debate between Jill Stein and Rocky Anderson.
Whatever you want to call it, you'll also have to add "tie-breaker" to the title. The only good thing that can come out of this is one team smelling slightly less pungent than the other team. S-E-C, S-E-C.
ArkansasSports360.com Contributor Jim Harris appeared on "Today's THV This Morning" with Sarah Fortner and ABPG Interactive Editor Lance Turner (wait, what?) to discuss which team will likely be throwing around helmets in the locker room at halftime.
