Tim Orellano Gets Lifetime Achievement Award Arkansas Society of Human Resource Management (Movers & Shakers, Oct. 22, 2012)

Tim Orellano has received the Jim Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arkansas Society of Human Resource Management. Owner of The Human Resource Team of Little Rock, Orellano was chosen for the award for his long-time service to SHRM and other professional human resources organizations.

Construction
Bob Shell, president and CEO of Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. of  Little Rock, has been chosen to receive the Vision Award from the World Services for the Blind Foundation. The annual award recognizes an individual who demonstrates far-reaching vision in business enterprise and community involvement.

Education
Mitchell Spearman of Fayetteville was recently promoted to director of development for the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas. Before joining UA in 2011 as director of planned giving, Spearman was assistant vice president of gift planning and major gifts at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Jenene Alexander, Rich Brown, Zane Gastineau, B.J. Houston, Kevin Klein and Ken Turley have been named professors at Harding University in Searcy. Alexander was named professor in the Department of Education; Brown in the Department of Business; Gastineau in the Department of Engineering & Physics; Houston in the Department of Criminal Justice; Klein in the Department of History; and Turley in the Department of Exercise & Sports Sciences.

Kathy Powers of Conway was selected one of 100 outstanding educators nationwide to participate in the America Achieves Fellowship for Teachers & Principals. As part of the fellowship, Powers attended the NBC News Education Nation Summit in New York City in September and will participate in other national projects throughout the year.

Entertainment
Bruce Jones has been promoted to the newly created assistant gaming manager position at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. Jones, who joined the company in 2008 as director of gaming technical maintenance, steps up into the new position after a nationwide search.

Financial Services
Kelly Ashcraft has been promoted to chief operating officer at Warren Bank & Trust Co. Ashcraft, who has worked at the bank for 20 years, also serves as senior vice president of credit and compliance.  

Health Care
Richard Morton, a licensed massage therapist, has joined Mountain Home Family Chiropractic. Morton specializes in deep tissue and sports massage. Morton studied at Blue Cliff College in Fayetteville.

Dr. Jessica Joheim of Little Rock recently joined Arkansas Hospice as a physician for the central Arkansas area. Prior to joining Hospice, Joheim worked as a hospitalist at the St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock. She graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2005 and completed her residency in internal medicine in 2008.

Media/Marketing

Emily Parker of Little Rock recently joined Mangan Holcomb Partners as a creative copywriter. Parker graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Nonprofits
MarQuez Miller of Little Rock was recently hired at Goodwill Industries of Arkansas as a re-entry coach in workforce development. Prior to joining Goodwill, Miller was a volunteer probation officer for the Pulaski County Juvenile Court System.
