Razorbacks And Red Wolves Fans Left With Whatever Program Comparisons They Can Get

Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long has said the Razorbacks will continue their policy of not scheduling other state schools for sports, including football.

Without the game, fans are left to do things like compare scores. ULM beat Arkansas earlier this year, so you know both sides will be keeping an eye on the Nov. 8 game between the Warhawks and ASU.

What happens in that game means little, of course, when it comes to comparing the programs. But fans will be fans.

Another comparison of note for fans this week? The most recent team rankings on college football blogs run by USA Today and CBS. Both “Top 124” polls have the Red Wolves ahead of the Razorbacks.

Arkansas (3-5) is No. 82 according to USA Today. CBS has the Razorbacks No. 70.

Arkansas State (5-3) is No. 65 per USA Today and No. 54 on CBS.

What does it all mean? Not much, but until the programs meet it's all anybody has to measure how the sides compare.
