The dedication was included in Harding’s Homecoming festivities.

Faculty and staff honored were Dr. J.D. and Mary Bales; S.A. and Thelma Dumas Bell; M.E. “Pinky” and Rheba Berryhill; Leslie and Corinne Burke; Annie May Alston Lewis; F.W. and Mildred Mattox; Erle and Mona Moore; Lonnie E. and Queetro Pryor; Andy and Kathryn Ritchie; Jack Wood and Mattie Sue Sears; and Buford and Ermal Tucker.

Also honored were long-time missionaries Alvin and Georgia Hobby and Dow and Helen Merritt, major donors Dale and Joan Coleman and former board member Roy Sawyer and his wife, Marj.

The $12 million Legacy Park apartments replace the old West Apartments, built in 1974. Construction on phase two of Legacy Park will begin this month, according to school officials. Once complete, Legacy Park will include 92 apartment homes for Harding students.
