UA to Host Conference Oct. 17 on Retail Trends

This year's Emerging Trends in Retailing conference, set for Oct. 17 at the University of Arkansas, will feature presentations exploring the future of shopping and how to maximize technology to connect brands and shoppers.

The conference will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the UA campus. It's presented annually by the Center for Retailing Excellence at the Sam M. Walton College of Business.

Presenters will include Wanda Young, Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s senior director of social media strategy; Mike Fox, director of global vertical marketing for Facebook; and Duncan Mac Naughton, executive vice president and chief merchandising and marketing officer at Walmart U.S.
