ASU Sets August for Sorority Row Completion

1 min read

Arkansas State University’s new Sorority Row is about 15 percent complete with a target completion date of next August, the university announced Friday.

A $4.1 million bond issue is paying for the five-house project, approved last spring by the ASU Board of Trustees. The university will own the houses, each roughly 8,000-SF, and lease them to the following Greek organizations with ASU chapters: Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Delta Zeta, Chi Omega and Zeta Tau Alpha.

The houses, located on Aggie Road on the Jonesboro campus, are roughly 75 complete on the exterior.

Currently, sororities at ASU use space inside University Residence Hall for meetings and events. Several ASU men’s fraternities have their own houses.

School officials said the revenue generated by the leases will be used to pay off the bond.
