Dr. Fernando Arzola has joined Summit Medical Center and the Crawford Cardiology clinic in Van Buren. For the last 12 years, Arzola has been in practice in Opelousas, La.

Dr. Jeffery D. Angel of Medical Park Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic in Batesville recently won the Greenway Medical Technologies’ Greenway Innovation Award in the small organization category. The award recognizes Greenway customers who use the company’s products in innovative ways to improve patient care.

Leslie Heizman of Little Rock has been hired as director of business development at Arkansas Surgical Hospital in North Little Rock. Prior to the move, Heizman was a partner at the advertising and marketing firm Martin-Wilbourn Partners in Little Rock.

Melody Trimble has been named chief executive officer of Summit Medical Center in Van Buren, in addition to her position as CEO of Sparks Health System in Fort Smith. Trimble took over in the absence of Sue Conley, who stepped down as CEO at Summit for a position as CEO of two community hospitals in Nashville, Tenn. Anthony Brooks, Sparks’ assistant chief financial officer, has assumed responsibility for financial oversight at Summit Medical Center, and Shelly Weilenman was hired to be responsible for the medical center’s daily operations as administrator/chief nursing executive.

Dr. Suzanne Moore has joined the staff of St. Bernards Medical Center and the Clopton Clinic in Jonesboro as a rheumatologist.


Stephanie Duckworth has been named general sales manager at KTHV, Channel 11, in Little Rock. Prior to the move, Duckworth was in the same position at KSLA in Shreveport.

Kelli Wigginton has been hired as a marketing and membership representative at the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. Wigginton previously was a marketing manager at Verizon Wireless.


Tommy Culligan has been named as the National Federation of Independent Business’ new member support manager for Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina. He will be based in NFIB’s Atlanta office.

Real Estate

Shelley Robinson has joined the Hot Springs branch of Crye-Leike as a newly licensed real estate agent. Before moving into real estate, Robinson spent 16 years in sales and management positions in the homebuilding industry.
