Contract terms for NorthWest Arkansas Community College President Dr. Evelyn Jorgenson were approved Thursday by the school’s board of trustees.

Jorgenson will be paid a base salary of $176,826 per year. Also included in the contract, which runs through June 30, 2016, is an annual housing allowance of $18,000 and a vehicle provided through the College Foundation.

NWACC chose Jorgenson from four finalists last month. She is currently president of Moberly (Mo.) Area Community College and will assume the president’s position at the Bentonville-based college on July 1, 2013.

“We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Dr. Evelyn Jorgenson to serve as our next president,” said Alex Vasquez, chairman of the NWACC Board of Trustees. “I am confident she will be a great fit for the college and for Northwest Arkansas and will be able to build upon the great foundation laid by Dr. Bob Burns and by Dr. Becky Paneitz.”
