Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp. has hired Little Rock advertising agency Stone Ward as its agency of record.

The account is worth about $1 million per year for Stone Ward, according to Rob Roedel, spokesman for Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp.

The corporation, a Little Rock wholesale power supplier to 17 distribution co-ops in Arkansas, selected Stone Ward after advertising a request for proposals.

Stone Ward will oversee the Arkansas Electric Coop’s “overall branding, advertising, marketing and related services,” Roedel said. The corporation hired Stone Ward starting Nov. 15 and did not set an end date for the contract.

Heathcott Associates of Little Rock was the co-op’s previous agency of record.
