Stephanie Grade Appointed New GM of Little Rock's Embassy Suites (Movers & Shakers)

Johnny K. Hudson, a senior partner at Hudson Cisne & Co. LLP in Little Rock, has received the 2011 Public Service Award for Individuals from the American Institute of CPAs. Hudson’s public service centers on the co-founding of the Aspirnaut Initiative in Arkansas, which works to promote the science, technology, engineering and math skills of rural students.


Tim Maddox, principal architect of deMx Architecture in Fayetteville, has received the 2012 Emerging Professional Award from the American Institute of Architects Arkansas Chapter.


D. Keith Williams of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has received a national teaching award from the American Statistical Association Section on Teaching Statistics. Williams is an associate professor in the College of Public Health’s Department of Biostatistics.

Doug Voss of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and co-authors from Michigan State University have received the Jack Meredith Award for the best paper published in 2011 from the Journal of Operation Management. Voss is an assistant professor of supply chain management and director of the Center for Logistics Education, Advancement & Research at UCA.

Financial Services

Jason Warren of Little Rock has been hired as vice president and business banking manager of Arvest Bank in central Arkansas. Warren previously served as vice president of management and development at Allied Bank.


Cozetta Jones has been named communications director of the Arkansas State Employees Association. Prior to the move, Jones held the same position with the Arkansas Minority Health Commission.

Health Care

Dr. Renu Kaur has joined the Mercy Clinic in Hot Springs as a rheumatologist. Kaur previously served as chief fellow at the Center for Excellence for Arthritis & Rheumatology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

Tammy Webb has been promoted to vice president of clinical excellence and innovation for patient care services at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Before the promotion, Webb was director of professional practice and clinical education at the hospital.

Dr. Robert Hopkins has been named director of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Hopkins completed his residency in internal medicine/pediatrics at UAMS in 1993 and has held various teaching and directorship positions at the hospital since then.


Stephanie Grade, Windsor Williams and Cindy Campbell have been appointed to executive staff positions at Embassy Suites in Little Rock. Grade, a 14-year veteran with John Q. Hammons Hotels Man-agement Co., is general manager; Williams, front office manager; and Campbell, assistant general manager/director of food and beverage.


Edgar J. Goral has been hired as director of actuarial services at QualChoice of Arkansas. He has held credentials from the Society of Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries for more than 30 years.


Terry W. Pool has been named managing partner of Kutak Rock LLP of Fayetteville. His practice focuses on real estate and commercial transactions.


Sherman Price and the late Leon Price Sr. of Price Mobile Homes in Mena were inducted into the Arkansas Manufactured Housing Association’s Hall of Fame at the organization’s annual convention.

Real Estate

David Matthews has been hired as a broker for commercial sales and leasing at Moses Tucker Real Estate Inc. of Little Rock.

Kevin Huchingson, CEO of Colliers International in Little Rock, is the ninth Arkansan to become a member of the Counselors of Real Estate organization.


Stephen Peterson, Jim Antz, Jason Cooper and Polly Martin have been elected officers of the Arkansas Grocers & Retail Merchants Association. Peterson, district manager for Walgreens, was elected chairman of the board; Antz, chief financial officer for Harps Food Stores, was chosen as vice chairman; Cooper, director of government relations for Brookshire Grocery Co., was elected secretary/treasurer; and Martin was re-elected president, a position she has held for 16 years.


Tim Harasym has been hired to a new senior software development position created by Mainstream Technologies of Little Rock. Harasym has previously worked for Verizon Wireless, Dillard’s Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Trey Sapp, who was vice president of information technology for USA Drug before its recent acquisition by Walgreen Co., has been hired by Edafio Technology Partners of North Little Rock as a senior engineer.
