Jon Vestal has been named vice president for institutional advancement at Lyon College, the Batesville school announced Wednesday.

Vestal will begin the position Feb. 3, and his duties will include securing philanthropic gifts, aligning all institutional advancement activities with the college’s mission and strategic priorities and working with the public to improve the college's profile, according to a press release.

Vestal currently serves as the director of development at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.
