Rick Brown Promoted at James Cone Construction (Movers & Shakers)

Kami Taylor Coleman has been promoted to vice president of professional development and Taylor Jackson has been hired as education coordinator at the Arkansas Bankers Association.

Greg Shaver and Karen E. Shaw have taken new positions at Citizens Bank of Batesville. Shaver, who joined the bank in 1975 and has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for the last seven years, has been named EVP and secretary-treasurer. Shaw, who has been with the bank for 10 years, has been moved into the role of senior vice president and CFO. Before the move, she served as senior vice president and loan review officer.

J.C. Scemons has joined AgHeritage Farm Credit Services in the Brinkley office. Prior to the move, Scemons was a senior claims representative with Southern Farm Bureau.


Landi Mkhize, Mat-thew Rose and Mark Rye have been promoted at the Arkansas State Bank Department to certified bank senior examiners.

Health Care

Cathleen Shultz has been reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Shultz is dean of the Carr College of Nursing at Harding University in Searcy. A former president of the board, Shultz has served as the board’s education committee chair since 2011.

Dr. Robin Devan has joined the palliative care program, which focuses on improving the quality of life for people with serious illnesses, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She sees patients in the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine in the College of Medicine.

Dr. F. Roosevelt Gilliam III of Cardiology Associates and St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro has been named the recipient of the Bill Hartman Award from his alma mater, the University of Georgia in Athens. The award is the highest given to former student athletes for excellence in their professions or service to others.


Michelle W. Elliott of Longview, Texas, has been hired at Regions Insurance Inc. as senior vice president and producer. Elliott has 30 years of property and casualty insurance experience, with 24 of those years specializing in transportation insurance.
