Stone Ward Adds Four (Movers & Shakers)

Joseph A. Sanford has received the 2012 MacAngel Discussion Leader of the Year Award from the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He founded Sanford & Co. of Mena in 1988 and has more than 36 years of accounting experience.

Tracy Harrelson has been promoted to the position of audit partner at JPMS Cox in Little Rock. Before joining the staff as head of the employee benefits department in 2006, she was employed by Ernst & Young for seven years. Harrelson is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of CPAs.


Eric Pendergrass, vice president and general counsel for Burford Distributing of Fort Smith, has been elected to the board of directors of Wholesale Beer Distributors of Arkansas. He is also a member of Smith Cohen & Horan, a law firm also based in Fort Smith.


Josh Dunlap of Greenbrier has been hired by Arvest Bank as a business banking loan officer in Conway. Dunlap was previously a vice president, branch manager and loan officer for Regions Bank. He is a member of the 2013 class of the Faulkner County Leadership Institute.

Health Care

John Yarbrough of Little Rock has been named the director of development for grants at the Arkansas Hospice Foundation, which is dedicated to raising awareness and financial support for related programs and services. Yarbrough was previously employed with the St. Vincent Foundation, which is part of the St. Vincent Health System.

John Larson has joined the staff of the Pain Management Clinic at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. Prior to his appointment, Larson completed a residency in internal medicine at Cooper Hospital in Camden, N.J. He also completed anesthesia residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia.

Max Arroyo of Jonesboro has rejoined the staff of St. Bernards Heart & Vascular after completing advanced training as an interventional cardiologist. Prior to his current position, Arroyo worked as a general physician at Clinica Carlos Duran in San Jose, Calif., and served a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Memphis.
