Subway Lawsuits Not Budging an Inch

You might have seen the photo that made its way around the Internet showing a “footlong” Subway sandwich that was only 11 inches long.

Well, as you would expect, a number of attorneys across the country have rushed to their neighborhood courthouses to file lawsuits that they hope will be certified class-action complaints so they can collect millions for the class members who were allegedly shortchanged out of a full foot-long or 6-inch sandwich.

In the Arkansas lawsuit, a Subway “statistics co-manager” filed a statement detailing just how many of the sandwiches were sold in Arkansas between Jan. 25, 2010, and Jan. 25, 2013.

The totals came to 30,224,452 foot-longs and 18,397,876 6-inch sandwiches sold in that three-year period.

The revenue generated from those sales was at least $187.9 million and probably more, the statistics co-manager wrote.

That’s a lot of bread.
